2017 WACE Results

Carey Baptist College is driven by a mission to Attempt the Extraordinary through excellent and holistic education. As a school community, we value the unique gifts and talents each student brings as we partner with parents to develop their child’s individual purpose. Out of our commitment to celebrating all students, we are excited to share the achievements of our 2017 Year 12 students and teachers.

  •     Median ATAR 79.25
  •     79 ATAR pathway students
  •     40 Vocational pathway students
  •     110 National Vocational qualifications attained
  •     48% of Carey ATAR students ranked in the top 20% of Australia.
  •     Fourteen students achieved an ATAR in the top 10% of Australia.
  •     Seven students achieved an ATAR in the top 5% of Australia.
  •     The Carey Dux attained an ATAR of 99.55; ranking them in the top 0.45% of Australia

9 Certificates of Distinction

A Certificate of Distinction is awarded to students who, in their last three consecutive years of senior secondary WACE enrolment, achieve between 190 and 200 points. The points are accrued from 20 Year 11 and Year 12 units of which 10 are at Year 12. Unit equivalents from AQF VET certificates achieved can be used to meet the requirements.

8 Certificates of Merit

A Certificate of Merit is awarded to each eligible student who, in their last three consecutive years of senior secondary WACE enrolment, achieves between 150 and 189 points. The points are accrued from 20 Year 11 and Year 12 units of which 10 are at Year 12. Unit equivalents from AQF VET certificates achieved can be used to meet the requirements.
