Student photography exhibition a stunning success

Displayed along the entrance to our Community Centre you will currently find an exceptional photography exhibition. A group of our Year 5 students took part in a photography course facilitated by Mr Wagenaar, College Business Manager and professional photographer which helped them produce some stunning photos.

14 students participated in this extra-curricular activity of six masterclass sessions.

Mark Wagenaar found that the workshops were “A wonderful opportunity to connect with these kids and impart some skills, excitement and passion for photography.  It’s great to be able to give of your talents and knowledge to the next generation.

Parents were blown away by the talent demonstrated by the students, while they enjoyed afternoon tea and surprise launch of the exhibition.

Parent, Knar Loveday commented “It has been an absolute blessing to have such dedicated and talented people who gave up so much of their time and effort to allow these students to have this wonderful opportunity. Thank you Mr Wagenaar. It’s amazing that these students could experience such a professional photography program. It’s incredible that the images on display aren’t taken by professional photographers, but Year 5 students!

A huge thank you to all the teachers, parents and students involved.

Make sure you take the time to have a look at their stunning work, it’s on display next to Timber Cafe until the end of term.
